The front desk staff was incredible. The nurse was efficient and friendly. Then the milliseconds spent looking at my child's ears, nose, throat, and listening to chest from the Doctor was disturbing. He told me things looked fine when he couldn't possibly of known due to complete lack of time he spent. He dismissed the patients concerns. He ordered a rapid Covid swap when he should have known it would not be accurate due to the time of symptoms. The patient felt dismissed and was not provided an appropriate level of care. The physician began explaining Tylenol and Ibuprofen and how to tx nausea. I had been using Tylenol and Ibuprofen as well as nausea medication for 48 hours and symptoms had not improved. The patient has asthma and the physician obviously could not comprehend the actuality the patient was struggling to breathe in the office. Then when questioned he offered to order an x-ray. No thank you! We needed to leave quickly to seek proper care. His ears were not fine! He was preparing to have an asthma attack. I have seen it and sadly felt we were not in a safe environment. Currently, he is receiving treatments every 4 hours.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Elizabeth at the front desk wouldn’t let me get a single word out & kept yelling at me when I talked to her on the phone and then told me I wouldn’t be seen. I have horrible allergy symptoms at this time of the year and at the beginning also. When I can’t get into my PCP I usually go to the urgent care for allergy shots( so they know I get allergy shots regularly) & they refused to service me due to nose congestion ( which I always have when my allergies act up)
They have a new Doctor that is excellent!!! He’s knowledgeable, Caring, understanding, and Friendly. Even his staff is better motivated to help resolve any problems you have. His great attitude shines throughout this Location. I highly recommend Denison Texoma Urgent Care.
Not the best quality of service or patient care. I was NOT running a fever or displaying any symptoms other than a sore throat and swollen tonsils with white patches on them. I had Covid several months ago and was not concerned with it being Covid. I was not allowed in and so only got to speak to someone on the phone. An actual physician never looked at my throat. I went to the side of the building for a strep test. The part that frustrated me the most was being told they would send in an antibiotic while they waited for the results. Two hours later I called to find out my results and was told the strep test was negative so I didn’t need antibiotics. I mentioned my tonsils and said white patches are a clear indication of an infection. The person I spoke with said the person who swabbed my throat didn’t see any white patches. I can see my own tonsils and could CLEARLY see white patches on them as well as being tender to touch below my jaw. Not to mention the picture I took myself after getting off the phone which is featured below. I expressed my dissatisfaction that I paid out of pocket only to pretty much be told I was lying about my tonsils and that nothing else was being done to find out what was wrong. They said the provider was gone for the day and they would call me back in the morning. I called today about 10:30 and they said the provider that saw me yesterday would not be in until later and to expect a call around noon. So I waited. My work requested I get a Covid test. So when the nurse practitioner called me back I mentioned why I was upset about the day before because I did not feel like the issue had been resolved or really taken care of. It was like “We did a strep test that’s negative, and she didn’t see anything on your throat so you’re fine.” What did I even pay for? I went back for a Covid test just in case which came back negative and then they FINALLY prescribed an antibiotic but still never really looked at my throat. They did not do a thorough check-up which should be the case when seeking medical attention anywhere. While the staff were apologetic it did not seem genuine.
So last week my daughter had a bug bite, and they prescribed her some anti biotics. 5 days in her whole body swelled up and she developed a fever. Long story short she was allergic to the medication, which isn’t their fault. Here’s the issue, I return there with my child and because of the fever they say we cannot come in because “it’s a symptom of Covid”. I had to turn around and drive an hour and a half to her pediatrician who let us in no problem. This place offers Covid testing, but if you have a single symptom (even if they caused it) they won’t look at you. They’ve lost their minds.
